Our Perth puppy preschool offers a safe environment for puppies to socialise with people and other puppies as well as build a positive association with the vet! Puppies this age are not considered fully vaccinated which can make socialisation difficult, this is why puppy preschool is so important as it facilitates excellent socialisation without putting your pup at risk.

Sadly each year many dogs end up in shelters due to behavioural and socialisation issues which is often due to the lack of socialisation during this important window.

What We Cover In The 4 Week Course:

Appropriate socialisation with humans and puppies
House training – including crate training, puppy biting, toilet training, mat training, manners
Training – including sit, stay, leash walking, recall, etc
Caring for your puppy – diet, vaccination, parasite prevention and worming
Veterinary advice – Dental health, grooming, common emergencies and toxins to be aware of, de-sexing
Behavioural concerns – storm anxiety, separation anxiety, common misconceptions

Overview of our Perth Puppy Preschool:

Our Puppy Preschool is organised over 4 weeks and consists of an hour-long class at 5 pm on a Monday. It is run by our knowledgeable veterinary nurses who are always happy to answer individual questions at any time along the way.

We will go over training, veterinary care, safe socialisation and off-lead safe play for your puppies. We love to watch your puppy grow from a nervous little pup in the first session to a confident well socialised puppy by the end of week 4. You will also go home with a take-home pack each session, with tips and tricks as well as freebies!

Where are classes held?

Classes are held on a Monday at 5 pm at our boutique veterinary clinic on 3/1083 Albany Highway in St James.

How old should my puppy be?

Any puppy between the ages of 6 and 16 weeks who has had their first puppy vaccination can join our puppy preschool.

What do I need to bring to class?

Please bring a lead and suitable treats for positive reinforcement during the class.

How much does the Perth Puppy Preschool cost?

The four-week class is $120.
